2017 Basketball Program Highlights
Aug 28, 2017 Monday - Championship Games
Led by a balanced scoring attack team Money Shots defeats the Hylanders 35-19 to take 3rd place in this years SIPAG-NY intramural league. Alex Manalang led the way, scoring 9pts, while Connor Domingo chipped in with 7pts.
Isabelle Bagon scored a game high 19pts to lead Soul Manila to a thrilling 26-25 victory over the Funky Knights thus capturing the SIPAG-NY intramural championship. The bigger and taller Soul Manila team controlled the boards limiting their opponents to one shot on defense and scoring on put backs on offense. Chris Paul Albano (14 pts) had a chance to win it for the Knights but his shot fell short. Santo Plamenco chipped in with 7pts.
Aug 24, 2017 Thursday - Championship Games
The battle for 3rd place pitted team Orange vs team Blue. Team Orange went on a 7-0 run to start the game and never looked back as they defeated team Blue 41-28 to capture 3rd place in this year's SIPAG-NY intramural league. The Orange men were led by slick shooting guard Jeremy Grospe 19pts and Roman Santos 10 pts with 7 rebounds. The Bluemen were led by Kyan Espina 14pts
Aug 21, 2017 Monday - Final Regular Season Game
Chris Paul Albano scored a career high 26pts to lead the Funky Knights to a come from behind 41-36 overtime victory over soul manila. With the win, the Funky Knights finish the regular season undefeated at 6-0 while Soul Manila finishes at 4-2. Soul Manila led most of the game and were headed towards victory until about 3 minutes in regulation time when the Knights made their run. With 8 seconds remaining, Albano hit a 3 to send the,game into overtime. In OT albano scored 5 of the team's 7 pts to seal,the victory. Santo Plamenco chipped in with 10 while Isabelle Bagon and Autumn Domingo each scored 14pts to lead Soul Manila.
Mark militar and Dylan Jimenez combined for 21 of the 31 pts to lead the Money Shots to victory over the Hylanders 31-9. With the win , the money shots end the season at 3-3 and will face Soul Manila in the semifinals (wed 8/23 8pm). The Hylanders finish 0-6 and will face the undefeated funky knights (6-0) in the other semifinals (wed 8/23 7pm).

Game 1: Blue 46 - Orange 30. Tristan aya scored a career high 21 pts while Jay Salvador chipped in with 10 to lead Team Blue to a 46-30 win over team orange..Team Blue led throughout the contest as Team Orange struggled offensively. Roman Santos 11pts and Alex grope 10 pts paced the orangemen.

Game 2: Chris tiu scored the game winning basket as Team Blue beat Team Green 44-42 in overtime. Tiu''s offensive rebound and put back sealed the deal. Green led most of the game and were poised for victory until team Blue decided to make it a battle and tied the game to go into OT. C. Tiu led Blue with 23 and Janred salubuyba chipped in with 12. John Tiu 18 pts and Cade Sixon 10 pts led Team Green.

Game 1: Funky Knights 35- Money Shots 32. The Funky Knights, behind the shooting of Santo plamenco (21pts), beat out a tough Money Shots team 35-32. Team Money Shots led early and managed to take an 18-16 halftime lead, but the Funky Knights were able to overcome their 1st half deficiencies and eventually won by three.

Game 2 Soul Manila 41- Hylanders 12 Soul Manila's offensive firepower was too much for the Hylanders to handle in a 41-12 Victory. Isabelle Bagon led the offensive charge scoring 17pts, mostly from offensive rebounds .She dominated the glass with 8 boards. Teammate Autumn Domingo chipped in with 10pts. Chris Bala led the Hlanders with 8 pts.
